The DELTA Summit is a unique, invite-only gathering of leaders from industry, education, and pastoral ministry to explore human formation in light of both the latest advances in AI and to develop a collective response to the opportunities and challenges presented by these new technologies. The program will spotlight real-world applications of the DELTA framework, a faith-based approach to AI ethics launched at last year’s inaugural 2025 Summit on AI, Faith, and Human Flourishing. The Summit will also cultivate conversations and hold space for inspiration and networking while exploring how humans can flourish in an AI-driven world by drawing upon our collective Catholic and Christian tradition.
The Summit will commence with an opening Mass in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The program itself will include several keynote speakers, small group breakout sessions, and workshops led by the DELTA Faith and AI Rapid Response Grant Recipients. There will also be opportunities to attend “Living the Letters Sessions,” hands-on activities that spotlight the individual letters of the DELTA framework – Dignity, Embodiment, Love, Transcendence, and Agency.
The DELTA Summit supports the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good’s integral mission to convene a multidisciplinary community of scholars, students, and leaders to advance moral understanding and develop compelling responses to the most pressing ethical issues of our era. The Summit will nurture relationships among those who are developing AI technology and those in education, workplaces, religious communities, and a variety of public settings who must discern ethical ways to use AI. The Summit seeks to answer the following questions: at our most fundamental level, what makes us human? Why does this matter for our individual and collective flourishing?
